Every month, there are a large number of new audio drama and fiction podcasts released. These monthly lists collate everything I can find that has released an Ep1 in its dedicated fiction RSS feed for the relevant month. Feel free to shout in the comments if you've got more information or corrections and I'll update with anything I'm missing.

5/1: The Iron Heel
(Dramatised - Science fiction)
A three-part audio drama podcast, adapted from the 1908 dystopian novel by Jack London, which he described as “socialist propaganda.” Set in a world in which the oligarchs form a fascist regime in America, told from the perspective of two young socialist lovers, Ernest and Avis Everhard. Anotonia Meredith, a historian from a utopia in the far future, provides dubious historical context. A mixture of romance, rhetoric, and revolution, accompanied by the folk music of the IWW Songbook.

They become unlikely friends, facing arrest and police brutality amidst the protests, while also dealing with the pressures of motherhood. When one of their group dies, things start to unravel, as they face the differences between them. Timely and lyrical, Humane is a new six-part audio drama about activism, friendship and motherhood and the values that unite and divide us.
