Gamer Girl Caught in the Game - Cat Wilder

I know, I know, it's more LitRPG. And also porn. I'm sorry. With reading all of the award-nominated short stories, novelettes and novellas, I need something a little more mindless. So I read these. (God knows what I'll get into when I finally begin the novels in earnest.)

In my head, there exists the concept of a really funny book, which is probably impossible to write. A lot of the "erotica" in this genre often feels like an addon to improve sales, and very rarely is actually integrated into the gameplay/stats side of it. I'd love to read something that takes it to the natural conclusion of the LitRPG format.

"Congratulations! You've reached third base. +2 to Seduction."

"Achievement unlocked: Trademan's entrance - Hit the wrong hole with full planning, not 'accidentally'."

I know it's daft. The joke probably wouldn't last long enough to get beyond a short story, but I can enjoy the concept.

This tries to get close to it, with a protagonist who is trapped in the game/is a digitised copy of the player, having lost in a fight to an evil wizard. The wizard has cursed her, leaving her a "Wench of easy virtue", a character set that is mostly skilled at wanting the sex, convincing people to have the sex, having the sex and still respecting themselves in the morning.

It attempts a bit of variety by setting her up with a range of different monsters, each of which has a bigger member than the last, but it's fairly repetitive and doesn't advance much of a plot. There are a couple of interesting gaming tweaks (quite liked the bow rings for example), but it's definitely erotica first, LitRPG second, and unfortunately it's just not that hot, even if it has an attempt at tweaking a couple of kinks.

There's better out there, so I'd say skip it.
